BAUGRUND DRESDEN was once again represented this year at the 39th Geotechnical Conference of the DGGT (German Society for Geotechnics), featuring the specialized geotechnical exhibition at the Congress Center Leipzig from September 23 to 26, 2026.
Traditionally, BAUGRUND DRESDEN, together with nine other engineering firms, once again co-hosted the joint booth "Engineering Firms from Saxony" as part of the specialized exhibition. Thanks to its excellent location, it was once again very well received by the numerous attendees of the event.
In addition to the extensive specialized exhibition featuring a wide range of companies and institutions, a technically demanding conference program was held in parallel, covering the following topics:
- Regional projects
- Geotechnical aspects in infrastructure construction
- Research and innovation
- Tunneling and underground structures
- Special foundation engineering
- Resource conservation and sustainability in geotechnics / Construction on existing structures
- Standardization: Forms of contract design
- Risk management
As part of the lecture program, our Graduate Engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) Philipp Botor delivered a successful presentation on the "Application of empirical values in glacial till soils: Experiences using the example of the 'Reconstruction of the Dresden Railway' construction project."
