08.04.2019: Prießnitzgrundlauf - Traditions are cultivated

Every year a great event at which our employees again achieve a common goal. In the meantime, participation in the annual "Prießnitzgrundlauf" for BAUGRUND DRESDEN has become a tradition. Also this year three teams were together at the start and took part in the traditional team cross run.
For the first time in 1913, the athletes went on the historic 6.3 km long track in the forest at the Prießnitz. The "Prießnitzgrundlauf" is thus the oldest still existing running competition in Germany.

13.03.2019: Construction supervision at the "Chemnitztalviadukt"

On February 27th 2019 the construction startup consultancy was carried out for the planned extensive upgrading of the "Chemnitztalviadukt" in the city of Chemnitz. The structure consists of 9 arches and transfers the tracks of DB AG over a length of about 135 m on the B107. In this project involved is our expert for masonry and preservation, Mr Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Sven Unger, as site supervision of masonry reconstruction on behalf of DB Netz AG.

12.11.2018: Recognition as expert for geotechnics

We are happy to let you know that our shareholder and project manager, Mr. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Meier, was recognised as expert for geotechnics by the Upper Mining Authorities of Saxony (Sächsisches Oberbergamt) according to the German standard SächsBergVO. Since 2012 Dr. Meier has been the head of the Finite Elements group at BAUGRUND DRESDEN and was able to successfully complete countless challenging geotechnical projects with his experience in the field of numerical calculations.

18.10.2018: Investigations regarding material properties and geometry of components

Since September 2018 Mr. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Sven Unger joined BAUGRUND DRESDENs team of engineers and now also broadens our range of services. Mr. Unger is specialised in the investigation and evaluation of the basic structure of buildings made from masonry and concrete. With his knowledge he now develops material reports and rehabilitation concepts at BAUGRUND DRESDEN for interested clients and is also responsible for the supervision and control of rehabilitations during construction. We are pleased to have gained a colleague with extensive experiences and knowledge from countless projects of existing structures, e.g. Göltzsch Viaduct.

19.09.2018: "Engineering Offices from Saxony" at the 35th Baugrundtagung in Stuttgart

11.07.2018: New municipal centre at Ferdinandplatz in Dresden

The Department of Construction and Estate Ageny began with the geotechnical investigations for the construction of the new municipal centre at the square Ferdinandplatz in Dresden on Tuesday (10.07.2018) (link to the news publication). Before the drillings can be executed, however, first the soil of the area has to be checked for possibly still explosive ordnance. Afterwards BAUGRUND DRESDEN will carry out the actual ground exploration and develop the geotechnical and waste technical reports.
